This is a really cool way to look at time. Let's be honest, if you need to know the exact time, you have had a cell phone in your pocket for years, and will still look at that. You are sitting at a computer right now, or reading this on a mobile device, both of which have the time displayed at the top, correct? You don't need a watch anymore. This watch does not tell you the time - it tells you where you are in the day. With a glance quicker than reading a 12-hour watch, you can tell exactly where you are in the day by the position of the hand. In a pinch, you will get very good at telling the exact time (I often startle myself with the accuracy of my estimations!). I'll bet that you rarely need to know the exact time. When you say "i need to leave by noon" you don't mean that your life will crumble apart if you leave at 11:59 or 12:03, you just need to leave around noon. This watch will tell you when you are around noon. For any occasion when you actually need the exact time, again, you probably have a cell phone in your pocket, one that can probably do reminders and timers an alarms for you. This watch makes you look at time differently, in a very good way. Also, it is gorgeous, one of the more different looking watches. Let's be honest, it is mainly just jewelry nowadays, and this is an eye-catching piece. The band is also luxuriously soft.

I have owned the watch for a couple of weeks now and I love it. It helps be frame the day differently. Before I purchased I was afraid of low contrast between face and hand but it's perfect. In fact the hand color seems to change from pure black to tan or gray depending on the light but the contrast is always great.

I originally purchased this watch with the nylon strap to wear when swimming but then ordered the brown leather strap, this gives it a an old school look. I am really pleased with the style and build quality and have received many compliments from friends and family.
